"Open Water" Equipment Checklist

Required Scuba Equipment and Dive Items:
1. Equipment Bag
2.Scuba Cylinders
-2 tanks (Check P.S.I. and current 'HYDRO' and 'VISUAL' inspection dates)
3.Mask & Snorkel
-Check mask strap and snorkel keeper
4.Fins
-Check straps and buckles
-Make sure that the size is adequate for dive boots
5.Weight Belt & Weights
-Get 10% of body weight plus 10 additional pounds of weight
6.Bouyancy Compensators (BC) & Regulator System
-Be sure that you have a primary and secondary regulator system
-Put together at the shop with cylinder - make sure that the fittings are compatible
-Make sure that you have the weight pockets for the BC
7.Exposure Suit
-Locate the weight suit that you have reserved
-Hood
-Gloves (right and left hand)
-Boots (right and left foot) - tuck inside pant legs (warmer)
8.Swimming suit and towel
9.Scuba Dive Book Packet, writing paper and pen
10.All earned 6 packs (non-alcoholic), drinking water and snacks
***Very Important Note***
All Scuba Divers are required to assemble all Scuba Diving equipment at the dive shop, and check to ensure it is working properly. If any piece of equipment is NOT working properly, give it to Steve Lowe and check out a piece of equipment that is working properly. NEVER leave the dive shop without checking the proper operations of your dive equipment.
Recommended extra's (varies with weather conditions)
1.Hat, mittens and warm coat for wind protection
2.Hot water thermos
3.Garbage bags, mat or tarp to put on ground
